Byrne had a lot to say about X-Men: First Class and how it relates to X-Men: Hidden Years. He claims that he invented the idea of a flashback comic and then gives my favorite quote for the week: "I'm not the one who blew up the bridge while I was walking on it". I love Byrne.

Chuck Rozanski (owner of Mile High Comics) wrote this article. He blamed DC for causing the speculation bubble in comics and for helping bring about the comics crash of the '90s. A lot of it seems to apply to what you are seeing today: media hype and profiteering off a single issue of an iconic hero. "When these new comics consumers/investors tried to sell their copies of SUPERMAN #75 for a profit a few months later, however, and discovered that they could only recover their purchase price if they had a first printing, their bitter disillusionment did much to cause the comics investing bubble to begin bursting."

Unfortunately there's no way to link to specific entry on Mike Wieringo's blog, so instead I submit the direct link and encourage you all to check it out daily. A friend of mine turned me onto Mike's blog and it's great -- pretty much every week day he uploads the latest sketch he did that morning along with a little story. Mike can draw anything and it's a great exercise to watch. Worth checking out.

Every month, Mike Sterling finds the most insane stuff in the PREVIEWS catalog and highlights it on his blog. The March 2007 contingent includes an exploding crotch Captain America bust, a Mothra Larvae Plush, a Guitar Hero amp stack statue, a Baby Satan voodoo doll with its questionably named and racially divisive brother, and lots more.
